Photo Album: Vestal, NY Kitchen Fan Vented to the Outside
This kitchen fan was vented improperly into the attic. When you think of all the smoke and steam that is sucked up by your kitchen vent, would you like all that to just be vented into your attic and left there with no way to escape? Eventually that smoke and steam will do significant damage to every part of your attic. We were up in the attic getting ready to insulate when we noticed this issue and we immediately brought it to the attention of the homeowner and of course they agreed to have it fixed while we were out there already. We got it vented properly and air sealed it so that there was no way for air to leak in or out of the attic from the conditioned area of the home.
