This customer from Deposit, NY had major issues with comfort in his home. He was expecting to enjoy his retirement in his home and hopefully not worry about much besides minor upkeep. When he started spending most of his time at home throughout the morning and evening, he noticed that the home was extremely drafty and that there were huge parts of the home that were just unbearable to be in because of the huge temperature difference. We proposed a series of solutions such as insulating his attic, basement, and exterior walls. These are some photos of Spray Foam Insulation being applied to the roof deck so that the home will be much more comfortable for the homeowner and he can enjoy his retirement in style at his very own home.

This attic previously insulated with fiberglass batts on the attic floor but this type of insulation was not doing anything for the home as far as insulation because it was just allowing air to pass through it. It was also prohibiting the homeowner from using the attic as a storage area.

Spray Foam Insulation was applied to the roof deck or attic ceiling so that the home would be more comfortable and so that the homeowner would have storage space in his attic because it is now considered a part of the inner building envelope or conditioned area.
