Binghamton, NY - Closed Cell Spray Foam

This Binghamton, NY homeowner had Fiberglass batts in the attic of his home, and was finding it was still rather chilly in the winter and overly hot in the summer months. There was a side attic that had staple up tiles, so it wouldn't be able to hold cellulose insulation so we proposed to spray the roof deck for this portion of the attic. 4 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam was sprayed to the roof deck, and 2 inches of closed cell spray foam was sprayed to the gable ends walls of the attic as well to ensure a tight seal so air can no longer escape out of the home. We also fireproofed over the foam, as an added measure of caution. The attic flat was also air sealed and had 12 inches of TruSoft cellulose blown in.

The main portion of the attic was completely open, so for this, we proposed to air seal the attic space and then do an open blow of our TruSoft cellulose insulation, where 12 inches of Cellulose was put down. This will help this customer stop the air from leaking out of the home, causing cold winters and hot summers. This homeowner will also see a decrease in his energy and fuel costs!

Here we had a rental unit in Binghamton, NY where both tenants were income qualified for work through the NYSERDA program. With the Landlord's permission, we came and ran a Home Comfort Evaluation on the entire home. This showed very little insulation in the attic of the home. We proposed to change this, by airsealing the attic and blowing in our TruSoft cellulose insulation into the attic flat. 12 inches of our TruSoft cellulose was added to the attic flat to insulate this home.

Binghamton, NY - Basement Spray Foam

Here we had a rental unit in Binghamton, NY where both tenants were income qualified for work through the NYSERDA program. With the Landlord's permission, we came and ran a Home Comfort Evaluation on the entire home. The home has a laid stone foundation, which was allowing air to come in and make the floors for the first floor very cold during the winter and they wanted to put a stop to that. The rim joists were also lacking any type of insulation. We proposed to handle this by spraying 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam in the rim joists, as well as 2 inches of Closed Cell Spray Foam on the walls of the foundation, which we then sprayed our fire proof paint over as an added safety measure.

As a result of the closed cell spray foam work, the floors will be much warmer in the winter months for these renters!

This Binghamton, NY homeowner was facing a lot of heat escaping from the attic space as we discovered when we did our free Home Comfort Evaluation. No insulation in the attic meant air escapes at an alarming rate leaving the homeowners cold during the winter and extremely warm during the summer. We proposed to air seal the attic space to prevent air escaping out of the roof that the homeowner is paying to heat and cool throughout the year and do an open blow of 10 inches of our TruSoft cellulose insulation to the attic flat.
