This Binghamton, NY homeowner had a home that lacked a lot of storage space but wanted to have a warmer home using less energy. We proposed to build an insulated storage deck for her using foam board and OSB. We also did some dense packing to the walls of the attic from outside.
This storage deck was built and we surrounded it with our TruSoft cellulose insulation. 12 inches of TruSoft was blown around the custom built storage decking.
This Binghamton, NY homeowner was experiencing very cold floors throughout the home, especially in the Master bedroom. We proposed to spray our Closed Cell spray foam to the rim joists (the perimeter of the floor framing system along the exterior of the home). These joints and gapped if not properly insulated allows a lot of air leakage into the home.
2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam was sprayed into the rim joists of the home, which seals all gaps and cracks where air from the outside enters the home, making floors colder and rooms drafty.
This mobile home in Binghamton, NY was set on a concrete pad, which allowed cold air to travel up through the floors of the home making the homeowner quite chilly in cold weather. We proposed to spray the underside of the mobile home with 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam to keep the cold winter air from penetrating through the floors of the home.
This Binghamton, NY homeowner was experiencing a very chilly winter - using 3 electric space heaters within the home just to try to keep warm. Our free Home Comfort Evaluation showed that there was no existing insulation in the walls of the home, and very little insulation in the attic.
We removed the vinyl siding carefully, and drilled our holes just a little bigger than our hoses so we could dense pack our Cellulose Insulation in the walls of the home. Once the holes were packed tightly with cellulose, we plugged the holes and carefully replaced the vinyl siding. You'd never even know work had been done!
We also addressed the attic. We removed the sparse insulation, and air sealed around light fixtures, wire penetrations, and top plates before doing an open blow of 14 inches of our cellulose insulation.
This home will be much more comfortable for this homeowner now! He won't be needing all of those space heaters!
This Binghamton, NY homeowner noticed a big difference between the original part of her home and the addition that had been put on - the additions were warmer than the original structure. We came out to do a free Home Comfort Evaluation and offer solutions.
The best approach for this home was to do a bit of Closed Cell spray foam in the attic. We sprayed the roof deck with 4 inches of our spray foam and fireproofed over it.
We then dense packed the walls of the home with our cellulose insulation. We carefully removed the siding, drilled our holes as needed and filled them with cellulose insulation. Once the holes were filled tightly with cellulose, we plugged and sealed the holes and then carefully replaced the siding.
