This Berkshire, NY home stood on a hill where the home received a lot of wind, making the homeowners quite chilly during the winter. The homeowners were also experiencing very cold floors in the breezy and cold winter months. We did a Home Comfort Evaluation to see what they had for insulation in the home, and we discovered that there was very little in this mobile home. Our evaluation showed us that part of the ductwork for the home was laying on the ground, which would prevent the heat circulating as well as it could if it was encapsulated. We proposed to fix this problem for the homeowners by encapsulating the ductwork with foam board, and then spraying 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the underside of the mobile home.
This solution will alleviate the issues the homeowners were experiencing with cold floors, and with better insulation in their home, they won't feel the harsh winds inside making them chilly.
