This Johnson City, NY homeowner was facing issues with a very humid crawl space. To remedy this issue for the homeowner, the crew used 2 inches of our Closed Cell spray foam in the rim joists to stop air from leaking in to the crawl space causing further humidity. We also installed our 6 mil poly to the floor of the crawl space as a vapor barrier, the vapor barrier was spray foamed to the foundation walls to ensure it won't fall down. 2 inches of our Closed Cell spray foam to the foundation walls. We also installed a dehumidifier as well as a condensate pump in this crawl space to help alleviate the humidity.
This Cape Cod-style house in Johnson City, NY was lacking attic insulation as well as the walls of the home. We proposed to fix this customer's home to make it more comfortable.
Our crews created access to the inaccessible attic and filled the rear attic with our TruSoft cellulose insulation. We used our closed cell spray foam on the side roof's attic deck to prevent air from escaping, causing the customer's energy and heating/cooling bills to increase with the escaped air. We then dense-packed the first and second-floor walls from outside the home. How our crew does this is by carefully removing the siding, and drilling holes just bigger than our hoses, and then we dense pack our TruSoft cellulose insulation in, making sure that nothing is penetrating through. We then plug the holes with cedarwood plugs and replace the siding as carefully as it was removed. These homeowners can now enjoy the warmth of the winter in their homes thanks to our insulation!
This Johnson City, NY homeowner wanted to improve the crawl space of his home to keep the moisture levels down. We proposed CleanSpace to him to improve this for the homeowner.
We installed the drainage matting first, which is a dimpled material to allow water to still flow beneath it, we then laid down the drainage mat on top of it before we laid our 20 mil poly on top of it and adhered it to the side of the foundation walls with 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam. We also used our closed cell spray foam on the entire foundation walls, using 3 inches of spray foam.
This Johnson City, NY homeowner had work done previously to the attic of their home, but the basement still needed some help in making the home more energy efficient. We sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam into the rim joists of the basement and then sprayed 2 inches of spray foam to the foundation walls, which we sprayed our fire proof paint over on the foundation walls.
This resulted in a much more energy efficient home for these homeowners, and their fuel and energy costs will see a decrease as well.
These homeowners in Johnson City, NY were looking for a solution for their home - they were having issues with bats getting in to the attic. They had called around for a few estimates, and were not getting viable or affordable solutions.
We proposed to spray foam the roof deck of the attic with our Closed Cell Spray Foam to ensure a few things: 1- Bats and other creatures would no longer have access to get into the attic space. 2 - the air the homeowners pay to heat and cool throughout the year won't be escaping through the roof and being lost. We sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the entire roof deck of the attic.
This helps to lower the fuel and energy costs for the homeowner - and they are very happy to be bat free!
