Kirkwood, NY Spray Foaming an Addition Floor / Porch Ceiling

This homeowner put an addition on to their home on the 2nd floor. The space below was used as a covered porch area. The bedrooms in the addition were always extremely cold in the winter. They decided to go ahead with spray foaming the floor of the addition and we will eventually do the exterior walls of the home as well.

Kirkwood, NY - Crawl Space Encapsulation

This home in Kirkwood, NY was having some water vapor issues in their Crawlspace. To solve this, we proposed to totally encapsulate the crawl space. We laid down our vapor barrier to the crawl space floor and used our closed cell spray foam to adhere the barrier to the walls to ensure it won't slip out of place and allow moisture to seep under the home!

Kirkwood, NY - Basement Spray Foam

This Kirkwood, NY homeowner had no insulation in the basement. We proposed to used closed cell spray foam on the rim joists, as well as the foundation walls for this homeowner. 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam was sprayed into the rim joists, as well as on the foundation walls.

Once we sprayed the walls, we covered it with our fire proof paint for an added safety measure. This home will now be more efficient and the homeowners will be warmer through the winter.

Kirkwood, NY - Closed Cell Spray Foam

These Kirkwood, NY homeowners were trying to figure out how they could keep the house warmer during the winter and cooler in the summer without breaking the bank. We performed our free Home Comfort Evaluation for the homeowners and found a few things in their home that we could improve to make the home more energy efficient. The rim joists of the basement were empty, there was a crawl space that needed attention, as well as the attic.

For the basement, we installed our 6 mil poly to the crawl space floor and sprayed the walls with 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam. We also sprayed 2 inches of closed cell spray foam into the rim joists. For the attic, there was a lot of tearing out of old paneling that covered very old rockwool insulation our crew did in order to spray foam the walls and ceiling of the attic. 4 inches of closed cell spray foam was sprayed to the roof deck. We applied our fireproof paint to the roof deck as an added measure of protection.

This home will now be warmer, more energy efficient and these homeowners will see lower fuel and energy bills as a result of the work we've done in their home.

Kirkwood, NY - Attic insulation

This home in Kirkwood, NY was not as comfortable as it could have been.

After removing the old fiberglass, the attic was air-sealed.  The attic floor was dense-packed with 8 inches of cellulose.  We then did an open blow of 14 inches of cellulose, greatly improving the comfort and energy efficiency of the home.
