This mobile home in Newark Valley, NY was in pretty fair shape for being over 20 years old.
The insulation beneath the home was still in decent shape, and didn't require a lot of repair. We sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the underside of the mobile home to create a tight seal to ensure warmer floors through the winter months, as well as keeping the floors cooler in the summer time.
This homeowner in Newark Valley, NY wanted to get some insulation added to her home, as the only insulation was a very small amount in the attic flooring. We proposed to dense pack the exterior walls of the home to add insulation to make this homeowner more comfortable in her home.
We removed the vinyl siding from the home carefully, drilled the holes for our hoses to get into the wall cavities, and then inserted our cellulose hose into the hole to dense pack the walls of the home with our cellulose insulation. Once the holes are densely packed, we plugged the holes with cedar wood plugs, sealed them and once complete we replace the siding as carefully as it was removed.
This Newark Valley, NY mobile home has some pretty damagaed fiberglass beneath the home. Some had fallen down, and some of it was still hanging in spots.
We proposed to fix this for her by taking down the falling fiberglass and putting up Tyvek where needed, then spraying 2 inches of Closed Cell Spray Foam to the underside of the mobile home. This will prevent the cold air of the winter and the hot air from the summer from coming beneath the home and coming in through the floors.
This Newark Valley, NY mobile home owner was in need of better insulation to help her and her children from the cold floors. There were a few spots where the insulation had been cut away from the underside for plumbing or electrical access - but no insulation had been replaced in those areas.
We sprayed 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the underside of the mobile home. This will prevent the cold winter air and hot summer air from sneaking up through the floor and making the people in the home uncomfortable.
This homeowner in Newark Valley was having some difficulty keeping the home at comfortable temperatures. We came out and did a Home Comfort Evaluation and discovered that the attic had old batts of insulation that were discolored and you could see they were aged. The homeowner's income qualified them to get the work done at no cost to them through the Empower program with NYSERDA, which we work together with to keep homes comfortable and energy efficient.
2 inches of our Closed Cell spray foam was sprayed into the rim joists, then our focus turned to the attic space. We removed the fiberglass batts and air sealed the attic, sealing along the sill plates, gaps, and wire penetrations. The crew then built a dam to contain the cellulose for a storage deck so the attic space would still be able to be used for storage. The crew then did an open blow of 14 inches of our Cellulose insulation into the attic space around the storage deck.
