Here our crew installed our SilverGlo insulation panels. These panels are made from rigid foam board that is mixed with graphite, giving it the color. The graphite in the SilverGlo reflects heat, keeping it indoors to make basements warmer.
Some attic spaces are more accessible than others. In this case, the crew had a very narrow work space which led to the decision of TruSoft cellulose as it can be blown in.
This homeowner in Apalachin, NY was having trouble figuring out why their electric and gas bills were so high. Upon assessment of the home, it was discovered that the home was severely lacking in insulation throughout.
First, we air sealed the rim joists in the basement, as there was no insulation there which allowed a lot of cold air in the winter and hot air in the summer to seep into the house, making it more uncomfortable. 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam was sprayed into the rim joists, ensuring the drafts were merely a thing of the past in the basement from this spot.
Then, we focused our attention on the lack of insulation in the attic of the home. We also air sealed within the attic space, sealing the top plates, rim joists, as well as around vents and light fixtures. Once the attic was air sealed, we did an open blow of our TruSoft cellulose insulation and added 12 inches of cellulose insulation to the attic flat. This resulted in much more fuel and energy-efficient homes for this homeowner, as well as reduced energy bills.
These Apalachin, NY homeowners turned their old garage into living space, however they realized that it wasn't so insulated properly. This home has cathedral ceilings that lacked insulation. We dense-packed the slopes with our TruSoft cellulose insulation and did an open blow of a portion of the attic that the homeowner wanted to have done. We also used our closed cell spray foam for the roof deck of the home to make it much more comfortable for them and they will see a reduction in their heating and cooling bills.
This Apalachin, NY home was gutted entirely and being redone. This homeowner reached out to us for a quote to spray foam his home. 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam was sprayed to the roof deck of this gutted home, ensuring that heat cannot escape leaving the homeowner paying extra money for heating during the winter months, and cooling costs during the summer months.
