This mobile home was lacking insulation, making summers even more unbearable indoors than outdoors. Our crew sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam on the underside of the mobile home resulting in the indoors being a relief from the heat from the outdoors. This will also keep the mobile home warmer in the winter months.
This Port Crane, NY crawl space was constantly gathering excess moisture, being beneath this home the excess didn't dissipate as it could which led to colder winter temperatures inside the home and hotter in the summer.
Our solution was to encapsulate the crawl space so that the excess moisture could run off and create a vapor barrier. We sealed the 6 mil poly to the walls of the crawl space with Closed Cell Spray Foam.
This homeowner in Port Crane, NY was experiencing very cold winters and very hot summers inside their home. They called us for a free Home Energy Assessment, and it was discovered how much air was escaping through the roof and basement of the home that led to high fuel and energy bills in the home. We partnered with the NYSERDA program, as the homeowner was income-qualified to have free work done to their home to reduce fuel and energy usage.
With the program, we were able to spray the rim joists with 2 inches of closed-cell spray foam to seal, as well as spray the foundation with 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam to insulate the foundation properly. We also did some work on the attic of the home, such as air sealing and blowing in our TruSoft cellulose insulation. The end result is a much more energy-efficient home that will keep the homeowner comfortable, as well as lowering the cooling and heating bills for the homeowner.
