Basement walls can be tricky. Theres specific things that need to be done to ensure that the home is protected from the elements and that we aren't covering up any underlying problems that may cause headaches for the homeowners down the line. Once any potential problems are pointed out and fixed, the job becomes fairly simple. Just point and spray.
This home had a main attic area and other areas walled off. We spray foamed the walls of the main area in order to air seal and insulate the main area and make the floors below much more comfortable.
The side attics have to be insulated because they are above conditioned space. If they were left uninsulated, the warm, heated air would be escaping up into the side attic, which would cost you more in heating and cooling bills.
The rim joist is a very common area in homes that is left uninsulated. Most times there is so much of a gap that you can put your hand near it and feel an enormous draft. We insulated this rim joist with spray foam which is the usual application for that area. The rim joist and basement walls will now be air sealed and insulated.
Our crew here at Foam It Insulation takes great care and pride in the work we do in your home. We protect everything that we need to in order to ensure that your belongings are protected from getting errant sprays of foam on them. The photos below showcase our attention to detail in ensuring everything is safely guarded and the spray foam only is applied to where it should be.
