This Johnson City, NY homeowner was suffering from very cold winters and unbearably hot summers inside her home. Our Home Comfort Evaluation showed that there was no insulation in the attic space of this home, and the basement was also another problematic area for this customer, as the air she was paying to cool in the summer and heat through the winter was simply escaping from the home.
We proposed to air seal the attic, and then our crew installed Tyvek slopes to the attic ceiling. Behind the Tyvek, we dense packed our TruSoft cellulose insulation to provide adequate insulation to the attic to stop air leaking from the attic of the home.

We proposed to spray 2 inches of our Closed Cell spray foam to the rim joists of the home, effectively stopping air leaking in and out of the basement. This Cape Cod-style house in Johnson City, NY was lacking attic insulation as well as the walls of the home. We proposed to fix this customer's home to make it more comfortable.
Our crews created access to the inaccessible attic and filled the rear attic with our TruSoft cellulose insulation. We used our closed cell spray foam on the side roof's attic deck to prevent air from escaping, causing the customer's energy and heating/cooling bills to increase with the escaped air. We then dense-packed the first and second-floor walls from outside the home. How our crew does this is by carefully removing the siding, and drilling holes just bigger than our hoses, and then we dense pack our TruSoft cellulose insulation in, making sure that nothing is penetrating through. We then plug the holes with cedarwood plugs and replace the siding as carefully as it was removed. These homeowners can now enjoy the warmth of the winter in their homes thanks to our insulation!
