This Johnson City, NY homeowner wanted to improve the crawl space of his home to keep the moisture levels down. We proposed CleanSpace to him to improve this for the homeowner.
We installed the drainage matting first, which is a dimpled material to allow water to still flow beneath it, we then laid down the drainage mat on top of it before we laid our 20 mil poly on top of it and adhered it to the side of the foundation walls with 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam. We also used our closed cell spray foam on the entire foundation walls, using 3 inches of spray foam.
This Johnson City, NY homeowner had work done previously to the attic of their home, but the basement still needed some help in making the home more energy efficient. We sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam into the rim joists of the basement and then sprayed 2 inches of spray foam to the foundation walls, which we sprayed our fire proof paint over on the foundation walls.
This resulted in a much more energy efficient home for these homeowners, and their fuel and energy costs will see a decrease as well.
These homeowners in Johnson City, NY were looking for a solution for their home - they were having issues with bats getting in to the attic. They had called around for a few estimates, and were not getting viable or affordable solutions.
We proposed to spray foam the roof deck of the attic with our Closed Cell Spray Foam to ensure a few things: 1- Bats and other creatures would no longer have access to get into the attic space. 2 - the air the homeowners pay to heat and cool throughout the year won't be escaping through the roof and being lost. We sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the entire roof deck of the attic.
This helps to lower the fuel and energy costs for the homeowner - and they are very happy to be bat free!
This homeowner in Johnson City, NY wanted a warmer home, but also wanted to ensure a good amount of storage space for things in the attic. We were able to help with this!
Our solution was to build a storage deck for her. We air sealed the attic, then dense packed the floor of the attic, built a custom dam to keep the Cellulose Insulation in place as we did an open blow of our Cellulose Insulation in the edges of the attic space.
This Cape Cod style home in Johnson City, NY had a second floor that kept the homeowner's longing for warmth during the cold winter months, as well as the children's bedrooms would also feel rather chilly.
We proposed to use our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the roof deck of the attic space, dense pack the slopes of the attic with our Cellulose Insulation as well as do an open blow on the attic flat. Our free Home Comfort Evaluation also revealed that the walls of the home were lacking any insulation, and we proposed to dense pack the walls of the home as well. We also proposed to spray foam the rim joists of the basement.
For this project, we dense packed the exterior walls of the home by removing the aluminum siding of the home carefully and drilling our holes just bigger than our hose for the cellulose. We then pack the walls tightly with our Cellulose Insulation until we can't pack any more in there. We then take cedar plugs and seal the drilled holes. We then replaced the siding as carefully as it was removed. You'd never even know that we'd done any work. We also dense packed the slopes of the attic with Cellulose Insulation. For the basement rim joists, we sprayed 2 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam in the rim joists so air cannot come in to replace the air the homeowners are paying to heat and cool. We sprayed 3 inches of Closed Cell Spray Foam to the side attic, gable ends and roof deck of the attic. This will prevent air from escaping through the roof of the home causing the homeowners to lose the air that they pay to heat and cool.
