Foam It Insulation Before & After Photos

This Vestal, NY homeowner was experiencing some issues with uneven temperatures in their home. An energy assessment done to the home revealed there was a lot of air leaking out from the attic. We proposed to air seal the attic then utilize our closed cell spray foam to properly insulate the space. Our crew sealed the rim joists, around ceiling light fixtures and top plates. Then we sprayed 3 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the walls to ensure a more comfortable enviornment for this homeowner! 

This homeowner in Vestal, NY was lacking insulation in the attic, which caused the air she was paying to heat in the winter and cool in the summer to escapape through the roof. We proposed to air seal the attic by sealing the top plates, sealing the rim joists, and around lighting and duct fixtures as well before open blowing 12 inches of our TruSoft cellulose insulation to thoroughly insulate the attic. This home will now be more comfortable for the homeowners, and the air that they pay to heat and cool will actually do so as it is not escaping through the attic.

This single story brick ranch style home was in need of some insulation. The attic had some fiberglass batts that weren't doing much of anything for the home as far as insulation. This homeowner had gutted her basement walls and wanted something that she could finish later on to make use of her basement. The walls were also empty of any insulation, which was discovered via our imaging cameras during our free home comfort evaluation.

For this home, we proposed to air seal and insulate the attic with our TruSoft cellulose insulation. 12 inches of TruSoft cellulose was open blown on to the attic flat. We also received permission from the homeowner to install the TruSoft cellulose insulation within the walls. For this, given the outside of the home is brick, it would be difficult to drill through and the appearance after is not so appealing, after careful consideration, the homeowner gave permission to do so from inside the home. This gave our crew a lot of prep work to be done to the home, as we were drilling from the inside walls as opposed to the outside. Holes were drilled near the floor, to be less noticeable as the homeowner would finish the wall and repaint herself. 

For the basement, we used our closed cell spray foam to put 2 inches of spray foam into the rim joists of the basement to stop air leaking inside the basement. The basement walls we used our Basement to Beautiful panels for insulation, as this was a poured concrete basement. These panels are made of our SilverGlo foam insulation, which has graphite infused into the foam as well as having electric chases in the panels so an electrician can wire outlets or switches at any time in the future! As a result, this homeowner was extremely happy with what we had done to make her home more comfortable and energy efficient!

This Vestal, NY homeowner had no insulation within the walls of the house, which was evident upon our Free Home Comfort Evaluation. 

We proposed to dense pack the exterior walls of the house. We accomplish this by carefully removing the siding on the home, then drilling our holes just a little bigger than our hose to dense pack the cellulose insulation into the wall cavities. Once the walls were filled with the proper amount of cellulose, we plugged the holes with cedar wood plugs and sealed them in before replacing the siding as carefully as we removed it. 

This will ensure a much more comfortable, energy efficient home for these homeowners. 

This Vestal, NY homeowner suffered from very cold floors in her home. The home sat over half a basement, and the other half sat on top of a garage. There was no door between the basement and garage space. 

We proposed to help alleviate the issue with the freezing cold floors. We also installed a custom sized door to go between the garage and basement areas. We also installed Tyvek to the duct work on the garage ceiling before we sprayed 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the garage ceiling. 

The spray foamed ceiling will prevent cold air coming in from going up through the floors and making it colder for the homeowner.
