This Vestal, NY homeowner had a lot of work that he wanted to do to his home to make it more comfortable for his family. The main concern was the upstairs being too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter time. There was also attic space over the garage that he had future plans to turn into another bathroom for the home, as well as attic space that was inaccessible that contained fiberglass batts and a small amount of cellulose insulation above it totaling 4 inches of insulation, which wasn't adequate enough to do much to keep the home warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.
For this project, we proposed to open blow the attic flat with an additional 14 inches of our Cellulose Insulation. We sprayed the roof deck with our Closed Cell Spray Foam - which also helps to air seal and gaps in the roof deck. In the basement, we sprayed 2 inches of Closed Cell Spray Foam in the rim joists, and then installed our SuperSump system as well as our Hydrostatic Pressure Relief drainage system, for which we dug up the concrete floor to install our pipes to the perimeter of the basement and SuperSump in the basement floor.
This Vestal, NY homeowner was turning part of the basement into a home office and wanted to have the space insulated.
For this project, we sprayed 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam in the rim joists, and also sprayed 2 inches of spray foam to the exterior basement walls for this homeowner.
This Vestal, NY homeowner wanted work done to the attic space. We had previously worked on the rim joists and crawl space, and they loved the work we'd done.
For this project, we air sealed the attic flat - sealing all gaps, around wire penetrations, top plates and light fixtures. We then did an open blow of 14 inches of our Cellulose Insulation to the attic flat. With the cellulose insulation we also dense packed the side slopes of the attic. We then spray foamed the roof deck on the A side of the house with our Closed Cell Spray Foam 3 inches thick, as well as the gable end walls.
This Vestal, NY homeowner had a shed attached to his garage that he was converting into an exercise area. He wanted to ensure the place would have adequate insulation for year round use.
We proposed to have 4 inches of Closed Cell Spray Foam sprayed to the roof deck, and 3 inches of Closed Cell Spray Foam to the walls of the shed that are exposed to the exterior - one side attached to the main garage which will be heated.
The new owners of this Vestal home were distressed about the condition of the attic.
The old insulation was removed. We wrapped rock wool insulation around the chimney and sprayed 3 inches of closed-cell foam on the roof deck and the gable ends, improving the comfort of the home.
