Though the addition's attic had fiberglass insulation with a radiant barrier installed, the rooms below were still cold. We removed the fiberglass and sprayed 3 inches of closed cell foam to the roof deck and gable ends. The addition is now considerably more comfortable.

Part of the project was the basement. We sprayed 2 inches of closed cell foam to the foundation wall along with 3 inches to the rim joist. Along with the rest of the project, our work in the basement made a big improvement to the comfort of the home.

In the attic there was 3 inches of fiberglass already in place. After air sealing, we did an open blow of 12 inches of cellulose insulation on top of the existing fiberglass. The result is a fully insulated attic and much more comfortable rooms below.
