This Endicott, NY homeowner wanted his crawl space attended to.
For this job, we installed our entire CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation. We first rolled out our Drainage Mat, which allows water to still flow beneath the CleanSpace without allow the vapors to come through the crawl space into the home. We then laid down our TerraBlock on top of the Drainage mat, then carefully unrolled our CleanSpace vapor barrier and up the walls a few inches of the crawl space. We then adhered the CleanSpace to the walls with our Closed Cell Spray Foam to create a tight barrier, and ensure that the CleanSpace won't slip out of place.
This homeowner in Endicott, NY had an issue with his bedroom and called us for help. His bedroom sat above the garage, which resulted in being extremely cold during the winter, and very hot in the summer and wanted to have this issue resolved once and for all.
We used 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam to the garage ceiling to help alleviate the issues with the bedroom. The spray foam prevents air from being sucked in through the floor of the bedroom, affecting the temperature of the room.
We also concentrated on the attic space. There was some fiberglass batts, with blown insulation over top - however, no air sealing had been done so air was still escaping through the ceiling and out the roof. We air sealed, and added an additional 6 inches of our cellulose insulation.
These homeowners in Johnson City, NY were repeat customers. We had previously air sealed their attic and basement rim joists and they were extremely happy with the work we had done. The basement was currently being finished off by the homeowners for some extra space for when family comes to stay and visit.
The walls of the basement were half framed already, and we sprayed 3 inches of our Closed Cell Spray Foam to the walls of the addition for adequate insulation for the basement room addition.
This Endicott, NY homeowner was experiencing extremely cold winters. Our Home Comfort Evaluation showed that there was no insulation within the walls of the home.
We proposed to dense pack the walls from the exterior of the home. We carefully removed the siding of the house, drilled our holes needed for our cellulose hose and then began to dense pack the wall cavities with our cellulose insulation. After ensuring it's tightly packed in each hole we drilled, we placed a cedar wood plug in the hole, sealed it up and then replaced the siding as carefully as we had removed it.
These Endicott, NY homeowners were preparing for the arrival of their first child. They wanted to improve the insulation in their attic space, which did not have much insulation before we did our installation.
We proposed to air seal and dense pack the ceiling over the garage, in order to do this we carefully removed the siding so we could drill the holes just slightly bigger than our hose to fit in. We then fill the cavities with our cellulose insulation until it's so tightly packed we can hardly move the cellulose. We then plugged the holes we drilled with cedar wood plugs, sealing around the hole and then replacing the siding as carefully as we had removed it.
We also wanted to ensure the attic space would be well insulated. We opted to spray foam the roof deck of the attic with our closed cell spray foam. There was an old fan in the attic, which we built around with foam board to spray to as we sprayed 3 inches of spray foam to the attic ceiling and walls. The spray foam itself also airseals any gaps and cracks in the attic ceiling.
